The French football paragon Mbappé is turning 21 at the end of December. Check out Nike’s Air Max B-day present.
Kylian Mbappé made his senior debut for France in 2017, at age 18. In just 3 years he became the youngest French player to score at a World Cup, and became the second teenager, after Pelé to score in a World Cup Final and has received Best Young Player and French Player of the Year, respectively, for his efforts. Now, he’ll have his very own sneakers.
Get into the look…
First and foremost, the Mbappé Air Max 98 comes decked out in dedications to the young athlete. The Golden accents of his initials on the right tongue tab, “Air” on the secondary heel counter Air units in the midsole symbolize his incredible victory at 2018s FIFA World Cup. We also see the left tongue tab with two Golden stars, representing France’s second-ever Cup triumph.
Geometric shapes are seen throughout the Purple-Grey upper. French colored lace tabs pull the eye down the Swoosh stitched onto the vamp. Another flash of color hides on singular Green strips at the base of the toe box. The rest of the outsole is a Deep Grey bringing balance back to the performance runner. Insoles are decorated with 93/93140, a reference to Bondy France where Kylian is from.
Mbappé officially turns 21 on December 20th, which is the presumed release date, but we will still have to wait for confirmation. However, to be sure you’re up on the latest information on these and even more sneaker news, keep it locked right here.
