PUMA and the Black Fives Foundation team up for Black History Month highlighting some of NBA’s greatest African-American players. Claude Johnson found the information regarding African-American basketball players extremely lacking. In The Official NBA Encyclopedia’s 800 page book, a total of 3 pages represent just two Black b-ball teams. In an effort to correct this issue, the Black Fives Foundation strives to “research, preserve, showcase, teach and honor the pre-NBA history of African-Americans in basketball. Throughout the month of February, PUMA plans to promote sponsored ambassadors, athletes, and more with the Black Fives Foundation’s direction. Kicking off the month appears to be a “Make History Now” branded PUMA Clyde Mid and a line of Black Fives apparel featuring a hoodie and sweatpants in a simple Sail colorway. Additionally, the hoodie appears to sports some interesting history facts right on the back. What a cool way to promote Black History Month in 2021. So, what are your thoughts on the PUMA x Black Fives Foundation promoting Black History Month together? Are you looking forward to what they have cooked up?
