Here’s a look at the limited edition Vegan sneakers from the So iLL x On The Roam Collection designed by Jason Momoa. Best known for his role as Aquaman, American actor Jason Momoa partners up with climbing apparel brand So iLL. Together, they created sustainable Vegan sneakers in Unity Purple and Yaya Lavender.
Both colorways feature a canvas upper constructed from 100 percent organic cotton. Additionally, a company called BLOOM recycles harmful algae blooms into usable products provides the algae that form the insoles mixed with cork. Moreover, the outsoles are completely biodegradable. It would seem his time as the Atlantian prince inspired the need to create the sneakers.
“We are a disease infecting our planet. From the atmosphere to the Abyssal Zone, we are polluted,” says Momoa. “…I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastic is killing our planet. And I think I have a solution.”
The design helps protect the environment, reduce our carbon footprint, and supports an amazing business.
