Love the look of the latest Nike Paul George PG 5 “PlayStation 5” coated in a beautiful Blue colorway hopefully releasing this Summer.
After the debut of a nearly all-White iteration said to drop, a secondary colorway has surfaced not only paying homage to the future of (biased opinion) the best console series ever made but to its past. And what better sneaker than the 5th silhouette of Paul George. Versatile, sleek, reliable, traits that apply to both the PG and PS.
We still see a lot of pure White pouring out from the liner, tongue, laces, low-profile collar, and thick Nike Air branded midsole. However, the mesh and textile upper arrives in a brilliant mix of Royal Blue and Navy.
Additionally, the navy sections dip into Black with a bit of gradience for a natural transition between hues. If you’ve ever pinged on your PlayStation 4 you might recognize the signatures Blues for the menu as well as the four symbols the represent the time-tested gaming mechanics on every PS remote; a triangle, square, circle, and x.
Inside the shoe, Black coats the sole inserts topped with Sony PlayStation and Paul George cobranding in White, similar to the Royal Blue embossed branding on the tongue. Subsequently, Royal Blue hits the rubber outsole beautifully and matches the heel Nike Swooshes.
While the first model drops on June 17, no confirmed release has been given for the Nike PG 5 “PlayStation 5” Blue colorway. So be sure to stay tuned with Yankeekicks for more info on the release coming soon.
