New York-based sportswear designer and king of street fashion Eric Emanuel partners with adidas to bring us the Forum -84 High “McDonald’s All-American.” Best known for his work with athletes like Allen Iverson, sportswear giants like Reebok, and his take on the basketball short, Eric Emanuel remains a name worth knowing. Especially with this upcoming salute to the McDonald’s All-American Games.
For those who haven’t heard of it, this all-star high school basketball graduate exhibition highlights the top boy and girl players from both America and Canada with teams sponsored by McDonald’s.
The Forum ’84 upper comes decked out in true All-American White, Navy, and Red with the addition of Cream, Sail, and Golden Arch Yellow. Cream and Sail underlays set the tone for the smooth leather upper. However, the accenting colors work their way into the tumbled leather overlays at the vamp, quarter panels, ankles, high-profile collar.
adidas branding hits the Sail midsole as McDonald’s All-American Games branding appears on tongue and ankles. Meanwhile, Eric Emanuel’s insignia appears on the lateral toe in Navy and McDonald’s logo in Golden Yellow on the medial side.
