Designer and master tailer Yohji Yamamoto brings us an all-new adidas Y-3 Kaiwa “Black/White” expected to release sometime in early 2021 retailing for $400. Y-3 represents the perfect marriage between Japanese fashion staple Yohji Yamamoto and the Three Stripes.
Normally, the Y-3 Kaiwa goes for leather and suede construction. However, this latest silhouette offers up Black nylon in place of suede. The Black on Black upper supports Black wax laces, tumbled leather Y-3 branded tongue and heel counter, and bulky EVA midsole bearing Yohji Yamamoto wordmark.
All this rests above chunky White rubber soles hiding another Black Y-3 in the arch of the foot. Currently, the release date has not been confirmed for the adidas Y-3 Kaiwa “Black/White.” But, what do you think of the $400 price tag for this runner silhouette?
