Don’t just step out, but step over in the updated Reebok Allen Iverson Answer IV OG set to release in early June.
Most young sneakerheads wouldn’t recall the iconic moment in Allen Iverson’s basketball career when during Game 1 of the 2001 NBA finals he scored a three-point shot after crossing up, then stepping over, Ty Lue.
And although Iverson revealed in an interview last year he regrets the encounter, it still remains one of the most infamous moments in basketball history.
20 years later, Reebok brings back the sneaker Iverson wore on the court that fateful day in its OG form and colorway. This Answer IV silhouette comes dressed in luxurious smooth and tumbled leather panels.
Footwear White covers the quarter panels, ankle strap, and most of the zip-up shroud that hides the laces and tongue. Likewise, White covers the textile liner and branding on the insoles.
The rest of the silhouette appears dipped in stark Black, including the Reebok branded tongue and “I3” branded heels. Additionally, the quarter panel “I3″s are reflective. And of course, the DMX foam midsole adds the extra spring to your step needed to cross up your rivals. Or just flex on your friends by showing off Allen’s silhouetted face in the outsole.
Expected to drop June 4th for $140, will you be rocking the Reebok Allen Iverson Answer IV OG when they release? Stay tuned with YankeeKicks for more sneaker release info coming soon.
