Official images surface for the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Patina” releasing this March. Teased for nearly a year, early mockups of the then dubbed “Light Army” AJ 1 High showed a White base with bright Fresh Mint accents. Now, thanks to official images we see that the majority of the silhouette consists of Black leather underlays and iridescent Copper-toned forefoot overlays. The name Patina refers to the Green and Brown discoloration on bronze, copper, or brass.
While Fresh Mint still shows up, it’s only visible in the tongue tab and additional laces at first glance. However, the Copper finish may in fact be another wear away upper similar to the AJ 4 “Taupaze Haze.” Light Army Grey suede makes up the heel and high-profile ankle overlays. Subsequently, a simple Sail midsole and classic Black rubber outsole complete the look.
